Hi there, I’m John.

In 2016 I shifted to I.T., pursuing as a business what I’d always enjoyed doing on the side for friends and family.

I worked on obtaining my certifications and was a part of an in-house I.T. team. I used my skills to maintain, organize, and streamline the organization’s network, create processes for data storage, backups, and assisted all of their locations remotely through help desk services.

Then in 2018 I transitioned to a new role of network administrator where I built my skills in software development. Starting my own business was a dream that allowed me to utilize my skills and start helping a multitude of businesses get where they need to be with their tech.

ZeroGrid exists to meet the I.T. needs of businesses in an honest and affordable way, customized to their specific needs.

I’m extremely adaptable as I understand no business is the same and needs unique I.T. solutions tailored to them.

I’m eager to take the daunting task of tech off of your plate so that you can focus on your customers and your business (which is how it should be).

“John is not only a faithful and skilled IT partner, who has been a true lifeline for our business, he is also a truly good human being that makes you happy to support his small business and confident you have the expertise you need when you need it.”

More About Me

I’m a husband, and an adoptive dad to two amazing kids. I love exploring the great outdoors (which includes hiking, biking, and fishing), and dream of owning a homestead and farm someday. My God is important to me. I’m a family man through and through.

Currently residing in Wisconsin, my family and I are managing a bison ranch. I love adventure, and can’t wait to connect with you!

Why “Zero Grid?”

My family and I are in a season of exploration! We hit the road in our RV in fall of 2021, and haven’t looked back. So in all sense of the phrase, we are (sometimes figuratively, sometimes very literally) “off grid.”

And THEN (hang with me, this is the nerdy part) “zero” because “off” to a computer reads as a zero. Like this: 0. Therefore “Zero Grid” is a play on “Off Grid.” Get it? (It’s totally fine if you don’t. I told you it was nerdy.)

An added bonus to me traveling full time and working remote 100% of the time means I’ve mastered (and am continuing to master) setting up tech to work remote. So mention receiving specialized consulting for remote needs before we meet, and I’d be happy to customize your guide to this specifically.
